Jakšić Stojanović with World Bank representatives: Platform for monitoring education policies presented

World Bank Program Coordinator in Montenegro Denis Mesihović and Human Development Program Coordinator Natali Laire presented the Global Platform for Monitoring Education Policies, which provides an overview of the performance of education systems by monitoring various indicators, during a meeting with the Minister of Education, Science and Innovation Anđela Jakšić-Stojanović, the Ministry of Education, Science and Innovation (MESI) announced.

In addition to providing data that helps in making evidence-based policies, the platform allows for comparison of results with other countries, thus contributing to the development of strategies and the adoption of best practices for improving the education system.

"The global platform was also the subject of an expert-level meeting that the World Bank team held with representatives of the Ministry of Education, the Institute for Education, and the Examination Center," the statement reads.

During the meeting, they discussed priorities in previous cooperation and new activities aimed at strengthening the quality of education. Jakšić-Stojanović reviewed the activities implemented in 2024, as well as plans for the coming period, and in addition to work on the legislative and strategic framework, she presented projects aimed at improving infrastructure, purchasing school vehicles, purchasing IT equipment, equipping "EdTech" laboratories, as well as plans for further development of the concept of bilingual teaching.

"Mesihović and Lahire praised the Ministry's numerous activities that improve quality at all levels and in all areas of competence, emphasizing that in this way better preconditions are obtained for the implementation of joint projects," the statement said.
