Members of the Hunting Organization "Dr Zoran Kesler" from Nikšić last night rescued a doe that fell into a canal near Budoš.
"In the afternoon, a fellow hunter, Slobodan Mirković, called me and told me that a doe had fallen into the canal leading from the Salt Lake, below Budoš. I immediately called my colleague, the former president of our Society, Radomir Lalo Nikolić, who lives in that area, and he started searching. In the meantime, Dalibor Damjanović, Milan Mićunović with his wife, and I arrived," Milan Vujović, president of the Hunting Organization "Dr Zoran Kesler", told "Vijesti".
According to him, Mićunović, with the help of a rope, managed to descend into the extremely cold water and save the exhausted doe almost at the last moment.

"When we brought her to land, we found that she was not injured, we dried her off and took her to Mount Budoš where we released her. And this act is further proof that hunters are not just involved in shooting game, but that we often save animals," Vujović pointed out.

Nikšić hunters are also voluntary blood donors, often helping in the search for lost persons and in extinguishing fires during the fire season.
