The Ministry of Education, Science and Innovation (MESI) has announced a competition for co-financing scientific research activities this year, within which 470 thousand euros have been allocated to support researchers and institutions that contribute to the development of science in Montenegro.
The Ministry of Science and Technology said that with this competition they are providing continuous and strategic support to the scientific and research community.
"Special emphasis is placed on strengthening scientific capacities, both of individual researchers and institutions, through eight key funding points," the statement said.
As explained by the Ministry of Science, Technology and Innovation, the key points of funding are the improvement of scientific research infrastructure, short-term scientific mobility, the costs of completed doctoral studies, and participation in scientific conferences.
The competition will finance the publication of scientific papers in open access journals, editing and publishing scientific journals, organizing scientific conferences in Montenegro, as well as activities to promote science and research.
The Ministry stated that they remain committed to the development of the scientific research sector, recognizing the key role of the scientific research and academic community in building a competitive and innovative society.
