The Agency for the Prevention of Corruption (ASK) has given its opinion that, under the Law on the Prevention of Corruption, there are no obstacles for Dejan Vukšić, advisor to the President of Montenegro, Jakov Milatović, to be a candidate for judge of the Constitutional Court.

On January 3, Milatović announced a call for the election of a judge of the Constitutional Court, for which nine candidates applied.

On February 4, Vukšić sent the Agency a request for an opinion.

ASK, in an anonymous opinion published on its website, clarifies that there are no restrictions prescribed in terms of the provisions of the Law on the Prevention of Corruption for that public official to be a candidate, if he meets the conditions prescribed by the Constitution and the Law on the Constitutional Court.

The following also applied for the invitation to elect a judge of the Constitutional Court, which was announced by Milatović: Danilo Ćupić, Duško Jovović, Mirjana Vučinić, Nataša Radonjić, Nikola Golubović, Jovan Kojičić, Alija Beganović and Nenad Đorđević.
