"Children's world - a house of love and hope for all" is the name of the work of the children from the Herzegovinian kindergarten "Naša radost" who won second place in the preschool category at the global art competition of the UNESCO network of affiliated schools "Open hearts and minds for refugees".
The award-winning work is the work of five-year-olds Ivana Kovačević, Mitra Kokot, Tom Vuksanović, Vladana Vlaović, Anastasija Bajčetić, Teodora Ćetković, Sofija Knežević, Pavle Čvorović, Anja Sladović and seven-year-old Anđela Krsmanović. Teacher Ivana Dabović-Banović was the mentor for the extraordinary little ones.
Kindergarten director Tanja Dulić points out that "it's no small thing to achieve this kind of success, and that's why I'm very proud and satisfied."
Educator Ivana and her colleague Vesna Jančić will attend the award ceremony at the headquarters of the UNESCO organization in Paris on July 6 and 7, where they will receive a monetary award in the amount of 1 US dollars for the purchase of equipment and educational materials for the kindergarten. On that occasion, an exhibition of all the winning works will be organized. The organizer of the contest is UNESCO in cooperation with the Center for Tolerance, Psychology and Education from Moscow, and educational institutions of the UNESCO network of affiliated schools (UNESCO ASPnet) had the right to participate.
