The Red Cross donated three open tarpaulin tanks, and the Directorate for Protection and Rescue donated one to Toyota.

The Red Cross of Montenegro announced that it today donated three open tarpaulin tanks of 8.000 liters each to the Directorate for Protection and Rescue of the Ministry of Internal Affairs (MUP), with the aim of making the Directorate's air and helicopter units more efficient when extinguishing fires in open areas.

The statement also states that the Ministry of the Interior donated a Toyota off-road vehicle to the Red Cross for the purposes of implementing activities within the framework of humanitarian work, intended for transportation needs in cases of natural disasters and other crisis situations.

"The Red Cross of Montenegro and the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Montenegro, in the spirit of good relations, today carried out the handover of goods, which represents an example of the already existing successful cooperation that was previously formalized by signing a joint Memorandum of Cooperation," the Red Cross statement said.

The statement added that today's handover was attended by Jelena Dubak, Secretary General of the Red Cross of Montenegro, and Miodrag Bešović, Director General of the Directorate for Protection and Rescue.

"Cooperation between the Red Cross of Montenegro and the Ministry of Internal Affairs is essential for efficient action in emergency situations. Through joint activities and exchange of resources, we ensure rapid and adequate assistance to citizens in emergency situations," the Red Cross said.
