Monteput is continuously working on improving traffic safety and optimizing the variable signalization system on the Princess Ksenija highway, the company announced.
"Previous experience has shown that excess information in regular traffic conditions can reduce driver attention to incident warnings. Traffic signal systems are set in accordance with best practices, standards and in accordance with the revised Traffic Management Master Plan," the statement said.
Monteput said that the displays in the tunnels are set to normal conditions so that, if necessary, important messages are more visible and immediately recognizable to drivers.
"The tunnels are adequately lit, which allows for a more pleasant and safer drive. If necessary, appropriate traffic scenarios automatically activate displays and traffic lights so that drivers receive the necessary information in a timely manner," it added.
They emphasized that all changes were implemented with the aim of increasing driving safety and comfort, in accordance with the highest international standards.
"Monteput continues to monitor the situation on the ground and further improves the variable signalization system in the interest of all highway users," the statement reads.
