The Public Company for the Management of the Coastal Zone of Montenegro will soon begin the implementation of the project "Park Development of Part of the Plateau in Front of the Kotor General Hospital", which will give this area a completely new look and functionality. This was announced by the public company.
"The currently neglected and unkempt area, with a lack of greenery and inadequate use of waste disposal channels, will be transformed into a modern park intended for pedestrians, peaceful relaxation and walks. The project envisages the construction of several transverse paths that will connect the main road with the future Lungo mare promenade along the coastal wall, the design of which is underway. The park will receive urban furniture, including benches and trash cans, while the youngest visitors will have a playground with a soft surface and children's equipment at their disposal," the Coastal Administration emphasized.
The paths, they add, will be paved with stone slabs and stamped concrete, and for safety reasons, protective posts will be placed along the edge of the park, next to the road.
"The total area of the landscaped part of the coast is 2.200 square meters, and the value of the works is around 240.000 euros. The Contract for the Execution of Works is currently in the process of being concluded, and the start of the project is expected soon, with the aim of the park being completed and ready for use by the start of the summer tourist season in 2025. This project contributes to raising the quality of public spaces in Kotor, offering citizens and visitors a new, landscaped green oasis by the sea," the public company concludes.
