The award from the Montenegrin Academy of Sciences and Arts (CANU) is proof that dedicated work and attitude towards society are patriotism shared by a significant number of young people in Montenegro, he told "Vijesti". According to him, he sees the award from the Montenegrin Academy as a great incentive for further work and progress.
"The award obliges me to constantly prove myself, to high professional standards, to a lifestyle in which, as Aristotle points out, I extend the line every day, at least a little," said Vukčević yesterday after receiving the award.
Every other year, CANU, from the Fund for Encouraging Young Scientists and Artists, awards the best young creators for their results and achievements.
The 2024 award winners are assistant professors at the Faculty of Information Technology of the University of "Mediterranean" Amar Kapić, assistant professor at the Humanities Studies Department, University of Donja Gorica (UDG) Nikola Vukcevic i Tijana Rakočević from the Faculty of Philology, University of Montenegro (UCG).
President of CANU Ljubiša Stanković He said that yesterday's ceremony was "a recognition of the dedication shown by the award winners."
"When we recognize scientific achievements, we can remind ourselves that curiosity is the driving force of humanity, and creativity is its soul. Young scientists are here to set challenges and questions for themselves. This is an opportunity to note that the path of science and art is not always easy," said Stanković.
According to him, young scientists faced numerous challenges and obstacles. Stanković emphasized that conditions for scientific and artistic development in Montenegro must be created.
Secretary General of CANU Predrag Miranović He reminded that the award is given to young scientists under the age of 35. He added that Kapić's research is closely related to physics.
"Active participation in national projects only confirms that this is a quality young researcher," said Miranović.
Rakočević, Miranović pointed out, has published several collections of poetry and stories. As he explained, her works have been translated "into a dozen world languages."
