Representatives of the University of Montenegro (UCG) and the Clinical Center of Montenegro (KCCG) signed a Memorandum of Cooperation today, which, as announced, laid the foundations for stronger institutional connections and joint work in areas of public interest.

The Memorandum of Cooperation was signed by the Rector of the University of Montenegro Vladimir Božović and the Director of the KCCG Aleksandar Radović

As announced by the University of Montenegro, the Memorandum opens up space for improving cooperation in healthcare, international projects, energy efficiency, innovation, digitalization, architecture, ecology, as well as in other fields of public interest.

"A special focus will be on creating opportunities for students - through practical teaching, involvement in research projects, and support in the form of awards and scholarships," the statement said.

Božović pointed out that the signing of the memorandum is a natural continuation of what the University strives to achieve – to put its knowledge and resources at the service of the community.

"It cannot be overemphasized how important it is for the academic community and the healthcare system to be connected. For us, it is crucial that our students and professors have the opportunity to directly contribute to progress in areas that are essential to society through this collaboration," said Božović.

Radović said that KCCG already cooperates with the University, but that it is now making a serious step towards systemic connectivity.

"This cooperation means better support for young experts, an opportunity to meet the challenges of modern medicine through practical work, but also space for the development of innovations that can improve our healthcare services," emphasized Radović.

The Memorandum envisages joint creation and implementation of projects, application for domestic and international funds, preparation of studies and analyses, exchange of information and experiences, and design of educational and media campaigns.

The University of Montenegro said that, after signing the Memorandum, a meeting was held, which, in addition to the signatories, was attended by the President of the Board of Directors of the University of Montenegro Milivoje Radović and the representative of the Service for Situation Analysis and Development Coordination, Stojan Vuletić.

The meeting, as stated, discussed possibilities for concretizing cooperation through projects of mutual interest.

"Based on this agreement, KCCG will conclude individual cooperation agreements with the University's organizational units, which will enable a structured and long-term approach to joint initiatives," the statement said.
