In coordination with the municipality manager Radovan Puletić, the Kolašin local government has entered the process of implementing the Day Care Center for Children with Disabilities and Developmental Difficulties project.
This type of service has been part of election promises, as well as local development documents, for more than a decade, but until now there has been neither the will nor concrete activities to get the job done.
According to data from the Municipality, there are more than 30 children in Kolašin who have difficulties and disabilities in their development. The future Day Care Center should be built in Lug, but there is still no official data on the capacity and scope of services of that facility.
Manager Puletić says that current activities are taking place with great help Marina Izgarevic i Boško Todorović, director of the directorate at the Ministry of Spatial Planning, Urbanism and State Property, as well as director of the State Property Administration Koce ĐurišićAt the local level, he explains, the contribution to the implementation of this important project is made by the members of the working group, which consists of the president of the municipal council. Vasilije Bulatović, municipal officials Katarina Puletic, Vladimir Scepanovic i Bozidar Pižurica, as well as the councilor of GP URA Miodrag Mijo Vlahović.
Day care was also the goal of the current Local Plan for Social and Child Protection. As the Municipal Board (MO) of GI URA announced last year, "this is one of the urgent obligations of the authorities." Vlahović previously proposed that this social protection service be implemented according to the "design - build" principle, in order to meet the needs of the end users as quickly as possible.
The facility, as Vlahović said last year, according to the current number of potential users, whose number has been increasing in recent years, should have an area of 400-450 square meters, a ground-floor type of construction, with an access ramp, central heating and its own parking lot. The funds required for the design, construction and equipping of the Day Care Center, as previously estimated by GI URA, would approximately amount to 780.000 to 820.000 euros. After the construction and equipping of the Day Care Center, the operation and maintenance costs would be taken over by the Municipality.
Before the start of activities for the implementation of the Day Care Center, as Puletić says, the procedures for the construction of the Mountain Lodge on Sinjavina have begun. The initiative, as he says, came from Djokovic.
Puletić, speaking about projects whose implementation was initiated from the municipal manager's office, recalls that recently the mayor Petko Bakić and Đurišić signed a contract for the adaptation of martial arts facilities.
