If the majority of the councilors of the Mojkovac Municipal Assembly (MA) vote in favor, the residents of Mojkovac who regularly pay for water supply, collection, disposal and treatment of municipal wastewater will have their monthly bills reduced by a quarter in the future.
As the President of the Municipal Assembly told "Vijesti" Marko Janketić, an extraordinary session of the local parliament is scheduled for the last day of this month, and the agenda will only include the Proposal for a Decision on granting consent to the Decision on approving price discounts for regulated utility services for individual utility consumption.
"At the proposal of the executive director of Municipal Services Gradac Bojan Misnic, this decision approves a discount on the prices of water supply, collection, disposal and treatment of municipal wastewater in the amount of 25 percent of the monthly bill. The right to the discount will be exercised by individuals who regularly settle monthly obligations for services, as well as users who fully settle debts for these services. The prices of water and sewage are determined by the Regulatory Agency for Energy and Regulated Communal Activities, and with this type of discount we will significantly relieve regular payers and encourage those who are not to become regular payers in order to exercise the right to the discount," explains Janketić.
The proposal for a decision on approving prices for regulated utility services for 2025 was put on the agenda of the Municipal Assembly, which was held on October 18 last year, but was withdrawn from the agenda at the proposal of the councilors. The councilors neither considered nor approved the proposal for increased prices for water supply, collection, disposal and treatment of municipal wastewater. However, regardless of this, since January, bills for these services have been significantly increased in that city, as defined by the Regulatory Agency.
