The retaining wall and road at the end of the promenade in Sutomore have been repaired, the Public Company for Coastal Zone Management (JPMD) announced.
As announced, the works were carried out in accordance with the plan and agreed deadlines, which, according to JPMD, ensured safety and uninterrupted use of this section.
"Due to significant damage to the retaining wall, cracking of the asphalt layer and subsidence of the terrain, the Public Company allocated funds and initiated urgent rehabilitation. The works, which began in early December 2024, were completed in January 2025," the statement reads.
JPMD points out that the rehabilitation included the construction of a new 35-meter-long coastal wall, stone cladding, and the installation of a new asphalt layer, which put the road back into operation.
"The total value of the works was approximately 180.000 euros. This project contributes to the improvement of infrastructure and safety in the coastal area, which is one of the priorities of the Public Company for Coastal Zone Management of Montenegro," the statement said.
