The city company "Komunalno Kotor" has completed the construction of a new quarantine facility, located in the immediate vicinity of the Dog Shelter in Kavče,
The constructed facility, with a total area of 165 square meters, has a steel structure and contains accommodation space with five boxes - pavilions for dogs with an area of 55 square meters. All pavilions are divided and each has an indoor area that is covered, as well as an outdoor area intended for dogs to run around.
As part of the project, an access road was built and horticultural landscaping of the surrounding terrain was carried out.
"The newly built facility has significantly improved the work, as well as the conditions in which the dogs are housed, given the fact that new individuals are admitted daily, which must stay in the quarantine area for 15 days before entering the collective accommodation. The quarantine that was used in the previous period, given its age and small area, has over time become inadequate for the number of dogs that are admitted daily," the statement reads.
The total value of the investment was 28.800 euros, of which Luštica Development Tivat donated 11.527 euros, and the amount of 17.273 euros was provided from the funds of the utility company.
The donation was made within the framework of the Sponsorship Protocol, which was concluded between the company and the Municipality of Tivat.
