In the town of Podbožur, residents of the surrounding villages (Cerovica, Smrduša, Podbožur, Prigradina), dissatisfied with the local road infrastructure, blocked the Nikšić-Vilusi road today.
The blockade lasted from 10 to 10:40.
Locals are demanding that the macadam road, which is just over 13 kilometers long, connecting the villages of Cerovica and Prigradina, which belong to the Local Community (MZ) Velimlje, and Podbožura and Smrduša (MZ Trubjela), which are part of Rudine in Nikšić, be reconstructed and asphalted.
There are large queues on both sides of the road.

As the locals pointed out, they had contacted the local administration in vain, everything was just promises, so they decided to block the road.
Momčilo Mićunović, a member of the Trubjela Local Community Council, said that they had contacted the local administration in vain, and even, as he claims, the President of the Nikšić Municipal Assembly (MA), Nemanja Vuković, stated in 2021 that the aforementioned road would be paved.
"That didn't happen, and no one wanted to welcome us. We were further annoyed when we saw that our trip was not planned for this year," said Mićunović.

As he pointed out, if no one from the local government contacts them, the blockade will last two hours next Saturday, from ten to twelve.
Jovan Matović, from the village of Prigradina, said that the road plan was made in 1994 and it was measured that 16,424 kilometers needed to be paved.

Ten years later, 1,1 kilometers were paved, four years ago 840 meters, and two years ago half a kilometer. The rest of the road has neither been reconstructed nor paved.
"This was the route the Syrians used to take. When they saw what the road was like, they told us to go with them," said Mićunović.
Around 20 households permanently live in the four villages mentioned, while close to 70 of them come regularly.
Mićunović said that people in that area are engaged in agriculture, and that they can only be reached by all-terrain vehicle or horse.
