The defense of the government and its leaders in Montenegrin portals is gaining a new dimension every day, as demonstrated by the case of the burning of "Andrija Mandić" at the Kotor carnival and the reaction of the media close to the coalition led by the real Andrija Mandić, not the paper one that burned in Kotor, announced Darvin Murić, editor-in-chief of the Raskrinkavanje.me portal.
He said that Mandić's puppet had not even had time to go out, "and the first line of defense of the authorities started to 'trample' on the carnival, Kotor, the people of Kotor, the authorities in that city, and even, from somewhere, the people of Cetinje."
"Borba announced that 'a fire full of shame is burning' in Kotor, praising the president of parliament for 'outsmarting the carnivalists and exposing their hypocrisy'. They further conclude that 'the spirit of Cetinje has entered the people of Kotor' and that they were tormenting 'Mandić' 'because he wanted to withdraw recognition of the false state of Kosovo, because he values Republika Srpska, and because the Croats banned him from entering'. Večernje novosti boldly and ambitiously assessed that all the values of this event burned down with 'Mandić'," the statement states.
Murić points out that Mandić responded politically, "as he is the torch that will light our way."
He adds that some portals welcomed this with enthusiasm, such as Alo Online, which reported his statement shouting - "Mandić dominates."
"Then the defense with disinformation began. IN4S, with the help of the neighborhood, from the editorial office of Politika, announced that not only the Speaker of the Assembly was burned in Kotor, but also the Serbian flag, and they concluded this because she was dressed in a blue suit, with a white shirt and a red vest. According to a well-coordinated schedule, after the disinformation, defamation and denunciation begin. The attack on the mayor of Kotor "because he sees nothing strange in the scandalous burning", coalition colleagues from smaller parties jump in, targeting Kotor because it 'burns Serbs'. Then analysts from the neighborhood join in, who defend Mandić, Dodik and Vučić as a package, including the carnival in a 'synchronized joint criminal enterprise of destructive forces against the state of Serbia but also the Serbian factor in the Balkans'. And finally – the Croats. Novosti sends the message that the Croatian hand seems to have reached Kotor and that is why 'Mandić' ended up on the carnival pyre", it is written in press release.
Murić said that the oldest mention of the carnival in Kotor was recorded in 1508.
"Before the New Serbian Democracy, Andrija Mandić, the Democratic Front, the coalition For the Future of Montenegro, August 30, May 21, Borba, IN4S, DPS... Carnival existed, when fields were rented out in exchange for a certain amount of grain, a pig's head, and a lamb. That's what the document from 1508 says, in which carnival is first mentioned. Of course, Mandić is not the first politician to have a fire lit under his feet, which, except in two of the articles listed above, has been ignored," said Murić.
He reports that in 2018, the so-called Puppet Master, or rather the puppet that represented the then president Milo Đukanović, was set on fire, which, according to Murić, was also written about by IN4S, but without scandal or disbelief.
"For the past thirty years, we have been suffering terrible torture, we have been systematically destroyed hour by hour. In order for us to experience this terrible fate, they have brought us to the very end of our strength. That our country, although poor and small, has been sold off piece by piece, that we have allowed the people to become terribly impoverished and that everyone fears for their own skin," the indictment against "Đukanović" stated at the time.
"A year later, Đuđić Montanjaro was burned, and many recognized in him the native of Kotor, former President of the Assembly Ranko Krivokapić. Đuđić Montanjaro's verdict stated that he was guilty 'for all the criminal acts he committed in the past 30 years by inaction and by helping the Main Pest to turn the state into a private company, and Kotor into the local community of Podgorica'. Drživlast Lucifer was also ordered to be burned. Whoever saw the doll and read the verdict, which, among other things, states that 'by his actions and inactions he caused the collapse of the entire judicial system, and especially the Judicial and Prosecutorial Council, knew that the people of Kotor were targeting the then Chief Special Prosecutor Milivoje Katnić," Murić pointed out.
He states that then it was the turn of "Dritan Abazović", who burned under the pseudonym Dominik Akrobata, known as Technical.
"He was sentenced because 'instead of bringing peace, he confused an already confused people, signed a pact with Lucifer, appointed Cap Dogane as his close associate...'", explains Murić.
He assesses that in none of these cases was there cross-border, organized media defense, attacks on the carnival with disinformation, and drawing targets.
"And no, the burning of writers cannot be compared to what happened with the puppet of Andrej Nikolaidis and politicians. By taking public office through which they dictate many events and lives, politicians agree to burn them, and it is not up to the media to put out the fire under their feet, whether Mandić, Đukanović, Abazović are burning...", concluded Murić.
