Throughout the centuries, women have been the backbone of the family, guardians of tradition and key bearers of peace and stability in the most difficult times, announced today the President of the Parliament of Montenegro, Andrija Mandić.
The Assembly announced that Mandić congratulated March 8th - International Women's Day.
"On behalf of the Parliament of Montenegro and on my own behalf, I extend my most sincere congratulations to all women on the occasion of March 8th - a holiday that symbolizes the fight for equality, but also celebrates the invaluable contribution of women to our society. Throughout the centuries, women have been the support of the family, guardians of tradition and key bearers of peace and stability in the most difficult times. Their strength, dedication and wisdom remain the foundation on which our society rests," Mandić emphasized.
He added in his congratulatory message that he is extremely proud that, as he stated, the 28th convocation of the Parliament of Montenegro, headed by him, has a special sensitivity towards women and that in a very short period of time after the constitution of the convocation, the Women's Club was formed, which will continue to promote gender equality and strengthen the role of women in political and public life in the future.
"It is extremely important to me that within New Serbian Democracy, the party I lead, a significant number of leadership and parliamentary positions belong to women, thus not only encouraging their greater representation in politics, but also in all social spheres," said Mandić.
