A major fire on Mount Garač in Danilovgrad is still active.
A Ministry of the Interior plane extinguished a fire on that mountain today, and a helicopter from the Ministry of the Interior's Aviation and Helicopter Unit extinguished a fire in Žabljak.
According to information from "Vijesti", citizens reported the fires to the authorities at 11 am yesterday.

The Directorate for Protection and Rescue announced today that they are recording a large number of fires across the country, although weather conditions, without drought and strong winds, do not indicate natural causes, they said.
"This clearly shows that the human factor is the main cause of the fire," the Directorate said.
Yesterday, the President of the Municipality of Danilovgrad, Aleksandar Grgurović, announced criminal charges for the fire on Mount Garač and for the fire in the Gostilje area.
