Police are searching for Podgorica resident Ivana Đuretić (30) and her minor child, after their family reported them missing last night.
The Police Directorate unofficially told "Vijesti" that the police had located the car that Đuretić was driving, and that other competent services were also involved in the search.
"Last night, a family member reported the disappearance of I.Đ. (30) and her minor child to the Podgorica Security Department on duty. Search measures and actions were immediately taken to find the person, after which a vehicle suspected of being used by the named person was found near the Luča Bridge. In addition to police officers from the Podgorica Security Department, divers from the Special Police Unit, as well as officers from other organizational units, were also involved in the search. Members of the Capital City's protection and rescue services, firefighters and rangers were also involved in the search," the police officially announced.
They urged citizens, if they have information that could help find the mother and child, to immediately notify the Police Department by calling 122 or to contact the nearest police station.
"We also appeal to citizens and the media to take into account the sensitivity of the situation when commenting or reporting on this event, while applying ethical and professional standards, and to refrain from spreading unverified information," the statement reads.
