The Investment Directorate of the Municipality of Tivat has announced a tender with an estimated value of 91.000 euros including VAT for the selection of a contractor for the renovation of the colonnade of stone pillars in the Great City Park complex in Tivat.

In this way, the local administration's activities continue on the development and renovation of the protected natural object, the Great City Park, in which the administration of the Tivat mayor is involved. Željko Komnenović has invested more than half a million euros in the past few years.

A total of 28 existing pillars, which are mostly damaged or almost completely destroyed, will be dismantled, and 28 new pillars made of artificial stone will be made based on them, along with new pedestals, and returned to their original places. In addition, the edge parapet stone wall on which the pillars are mounted will be repaired, and a new metal structure of the pergola will be built, which the pillars support and which covers this part of the park promenade.

The deadline for completion of these works, which will be carried out under the supervision of professional conservation supervision, since this is a protected natural object with valuable environmental and architectural characteristics, is 180 days from the signing of the contract and the introduction of the selected contractor into the work. The Municipality of Tivat announced that this year it will allocate 150.000 euros for the construction of the missing metal fence along the western and northern sides of the Great City Park, while another 10.000 euros has been allocated for the creation of a GIS database on the park's dendroflora.
