Bijelo Polje firefighters participated in several interventions today to extinguish fires in that municipality.
The Commander of the Protection and Rescue Service, Edin Kolić, said that there were several forest fires in different locations, and that houses and auxiliary facilities were threatened in Goduša, and that six firefighters with two special and one technical vehicle participated in that intervention.
"We intervened in extinguishing the forest fire in Zaton, as well as Orahovib, where a weekend house was threatened.
"Two firefighters with one technical vehicle intervened in extinguishing the fire in the town of Potrk," said Kolić, adding that the wind made extinguishing the fire difficult.
All fires were brought under control and the team returned from the field at 19 p.m., according to Kolić.
