Podgorica resident Ivana Đuretić (30) and her minor child, whose family reported her missing on March 11, have not yet been found.
The Ministry of Internal Affairs announced that members of the Ministry of Internal Affairs' Directorate for Protection and Rescue, together with members of the Protection and Rescue Services of the municipalities of Tivat and Kotor, searched the right bank of the Morača River this morning, using boats, scooters and specialized underwater drones.
At the same time, rescuers from the Capital City Protection and Rescue Service searched the left bank of the Luča Bridge.
"RCUD divers from Bijela, members of the Special Police Unit, as well as numerous locals, are also engaged in the field. Also, pilots of the MUP's Helicopter Unit conducted a helicopter flight to search for the missing," the MUP said.
They said that high water levels and extremely poor visibility were making the search difficult, but that it would continue with "intensive engagement of all available capacities."
"The search will continue tomorrow, and members of the Directorate and their colleagues will be joined by rescuers from the Protection Services of the Municipalities of Plužine and Nikšić," the statement reads.
