The residents of Rasovo in Bijelo Polje today, on the occasion of International Water Day, organized an ecological cleanup campaign along the banks of the Lim River at a place called Kula, where they plan to restore the water that everyone used to use, which is now covered in garbage and weeds.
The NGO Euromost stated that this place is one of a large number of locations near Lim that is covered with various municipal waste and where floating waste is collected, so, as they say, as soon as the water level of the river is lower and when the conditions are created, they will organize with the citizens to collect all floating waste, and they plan to set up benches where the place will be used for resting, and not for dumping waste next to the water source itself.
The NGO Euromost expects the Municipality of Bijelo Polje to get involved and, as they state, they are not waiting for citizens to self-organize, but rather "just speak in public" about how they are in favor of a healthy environment, a cleaner Lim River and cleaner air.
