Preparations for the summer tourist season in Budva this year began much earlier than in previous years. By order of the Mayor of Budva, Nikola Jovanović, all relevant services are engaged in raising the level of cleanliness and arrangement of public areas.
"The goal is to maximize the level of operational efficiency of local companies and services in the period leading up to the official start of the season so that they can provide services of public interest at full capacity during the height of the tourist season," the Municipality of Budva told Vijesti.
Employees of the Cleaning unit, which operates within Doo "Komunalno" Budva, carried out a thorough washing of streets and squares inside and outside the Old Town this morning, using a multifunctional street cleaning and washing machine, as well as a large tanker truck.
During the operation, which began this morning at six o'clock, the interior of the Old Town was thoroughly washed, removing grease stains, accumulated dust, and dirt.
"The streets and plateaus were treated with special brushes to achieve maximum cleanliness. The entire area around the Old Town, including the access streets and squares, was washed with a large tanker truck, while a smaller car wash enabled a detailed washing inside the walls. The operation was successfully completed at 7.30:XNUMX a.m.," the Municipality stated and announced:
"These activities will be carried out twice a week without a specific date, while during the tourist season the cleaning schedule will be precisely defined. The Cleanliness working unit will continue with regular hygiene measures to ensure that the Old Town of Budva remains clean and pleasant for fellow citizens and visitors. Given that the Old Town of Budva is a cultural and historical asset, it is important that it remains the pearl of Budva and the most beautiful postcard for all visitors who enjoy its beauty and authenticity," the Municipality emphasized.
