The Mayor of Tivat Municipality, Željko Komnenović, hosted the Ambassador of Canada to Montenegro, Serbia and North Macedonia, Michelle Cameron, who is currently staying in Montenegro and is visiting Tivat for the first time.
"During the meeting in the office of the Mayor of the Municipality, Cameron emphasized that Tivat has been recognized as a successful example of development and a tourist city that is a role model for others. During her conversation with Mayor Komnenović, she learned about the plans for further development of Tivat, as well as all the current challenges facing the local administration," the local administration announced.
Komnenović congratulated Ambassador Cameron on her recent appointment, highlighting the very good cooperation with the Embassy of Canada so far, especially considering that one of the largest foreign investments in Tivat was initiated and implemented by Canadian citizen, Honorary Citizen of Tivat Peter Munk.
He introduced the Canadian diplomat to previous examples of successful cooperation in the field of culture, expressing hope that the Municipality of Tivat and the Embassy of Canada will continue to jointly implement projects of benefit to all citizens and visitors of Tivat in the future.
