Former acting director of Komunalnpg Budva Ilija Gigović rejected the accusations that he does not want to return the company's seal, stating that these are false criminal reports, claiming that they want to attribute all the illegalities committed by the previous management to him.
He reacted to the criminal complaint filed against him by the current acting director Milan Perović.

"The allegations published in Vijesti on 21.03.2025 are, to put it mildly, untrue and malicious, so I am forced to react, given that there is a persistent attempt to undermine both my reputation and the reputation of one of my attorneys by publishing untruths in public, even though there is evidence to the contrary, but the public does not know this, which is being tirelessly used. Namely, the truth is that, after I was elected Acting Executive Director of Komunalni doo Budva, the previous management alienated the then valid seal and register of the Company, and shortly after that it completely prevented me from having access to the administrative building and from fulfilling my obligations, although, by law, I was the responsible person at that moment. Since, despite the reports filed with the competent institutions, the seal was not returned, and in order to prevent its misuse and causing damage to Komunalni, in which I was the Acting Executive Director at that moment, I issued an order to declare the alienated seal invalid and to make a new seal, which, of course, was with me because "Given the entire situation and the constant sabotage and abuse by the previous management, and the prevention of my having access to the management of Komunalno at all, I could not possibly 'keep' a valid seal in the company's premises," Gigović said in his response.
He added that after his dismissal, he received a letter in which the management of the Public Utilities Company asked him to return the stamp so that no legal action would be taken.
"I contacted my attorney in Podgorica and expressed my willingness to have the handover of the seal carried out in the office of my attorney, where I would bring the seal and hand over the stamp authorized by the Municipal Corporation. The fact is that after the injustice that was done to me personally while I was the acting director, and the way in which I was dismissed and called to return the seal, I did not want and do not want to approach the premises of the Municipal Corporation, and I insisted that the handover be held elsewhere. My attorney, as stated in the disputed article, attorney Dijana Petković, at no time said that the seal was in my possession, which is absolute nonsense that speaks volumes about the people who placed it, but rather stated in the letter that I was forced to make a new seal for the reasons I previously stated, and that due to the previous situation, the seal was completely justified in my possession, considering that I was the acting executive director, therefore the responsible person, but that the seal would be returned, with the proviso that I demand that a handover record be made and that it be in her office in Podgorica", stressed Gigović.
As he pointed out, the Municipal Corporation rejected the proposal of his attorney, requesting that he personally or a person authorized by him come to the Municipal Corporation's premises.
"Since my attorney from Podgorica was unable to come to Budva due to obligations, I authorized a lawyer from Budva who announced his arrival by phone. So, the allegations that I have stolen the seal of the Municipal Corporation, that I will not return it, that I have misused it, that my attorney said that the seal is in my possession because I am the executive director, and the seal of the Municipal Corporation and I have been dismissed are just gross untruths and classic nonsense aimed at causing harm to me and the people I authorized to help me to properly and legally fight injustice and, I can freely say, the impudence of individuals who do not choose means to achieve their goal. Everything they have done up to this day is now being tried to be attributed to me, and I will deal with the filing of criminal charges, false reporting, false allegations that are being placed through the media in the future by initiating proceedings against the responsible persons," Gigović concluded.
