The shelter for abandoned animals in the Bijelo Polje settlement of Dobrinje will be open by the end of April, said the director of the company "Komunalno Lim" Muradif Grbović.
He said this in response to a question from councilor Mitar Radović (SNP) at today's session of the Bijelo Polje Municipal Assembly (MA).
"In five years, the Municipality has paid out 500.000 euros in compensation to citizens for stray dog bites," said Grbović.
Bajčeta new councilor
There were 21 councilor questions on the agenda of the session.
The President of the Municipal Assembly, Selma Omerović, informed the attendees at the beginning of the session that councilor Mladen Nedović from the electoral list "Let's Go People - Miodrag Migo Pajović - Democrats - United Montenegro - Civic Movement People and the Dot" had resigned, and that a new councilor from the electoral list, Radosav Bajčeta, was being elected to the vacant councilor seat.

Assistant to the Directorate for Property, Esmer Ličina, responding to a question from Democratic Party of Socialists (DPS) councilor Jasmila Hot about whether work on the Đalovića Cave and Bjelasica projects had begun and when it would continue, said that property and legal relations had been resolved within the Bjelasica project.
"As part of the Đalovića Cave project, property and legal relations have been resolved for: a road, a base station, a cable car, a water supply system, a transmission line (it has been built and is currently being accepted by CEDIS), and a visitor center. Overall, regarding the start of work on Đalovića Cave, the Ministry of Tourism, Ecology, Sustainable Development and Development of the North is awaiting approval from the Environmental Protection Agency," said Ličina.

"The Municipality of Bijelo Polje has introduced an electronic property tax payment service, which has recently been available on the Municipality's website," said Bojan Obradović from the Bijelo Polje Municipality's Joint Affairs Service, responding to a question from councilor Asmir Pućurica (DPS).
"In addition to the web service that provides insight into tax solutions for real estate in the territory of the Bijelo Polje municipality, it is now possible to pay that tax, which gives citizens the opportunity to settle their obligations in a faster and simpler way. The local government will continue to create a modern electronic system and online service," said Obradović.
Councilor Dražen Petrić asked the Secretary of the Secretariat for Housing, Communal Affairs and Transport, Duško Ružić, whether they had a program for the construction and maintenance of transport infrastructure.
Ružić pointed out that this secretariat is exclusively concerned with the maintenance of municipal and uncategorized roads in the area of the municipality of Bijelo Polje, so they do not have a program for the construction of traffic infrastructure.
