The Ministry of Health, through the Interreg Europe program, has joined the international FABCOM project, in order to ensure a high level of health care for all citizens, especially for vulnerable groups and the population in rural areas.
The Ministry announced that the FABCOM /Family-Based and Community-Based Care/ project lasts 36 months and includes three phases - preparatory, which lasts 12 months, implementation, which lasts 21 months, and a three-month closure phase.
It is stated that the Ministry joined this international project with the aim of improving policies and strategies in the field of providing shared care services.
"FABCOM represents support for the Ministry of Health's initiative to provide a high level of healthcare for all citizens, especially for vulnerable groups and the population in rural areas," the statement said.
The project, as stated by the Ministry, focuses on the transition from institutional to shared, accessible and high-quality care services.
The Ministry participates in the project as a partner, and key activities include exchanging experiences and implementing best practices with partners from the European Union, strengthening institutional capacities for providing services to vulnerable groups, as well as developing strategies to improve the accessibility and quality of care, especially in rural areas, and creating recommendations for evidence-based policies.
"The total value of the project is 1.658,810 euros, while the budget allocated to the Ministry of Health is 96 thousand euros," the statement said.
The Ministry said that the implementation of the project will begin on May 1st.
