The delegation of the Department for the Execution of Judgments of the European Court of Human Rights (ECHR) highlighted the dedication, professionalism and exceptional results of the state of Montenegro in the process of executing the judgments of that court based on the applications of former employees of "Radoje Dakić" in bankruptcy.
This was announced by the Office of the Representative of Montenegro before the European Court of Human Rights, which organized the first official visit of the delegation on March 25 and 26.
During the visit, a delegation from the Department for the Execution of Judgments of the ECHR, consisting of the Head of Sector in that Department Claire Brown, Head of Section in the Department Bojana Nikolin and Lawyer in the Department Nedim Kulenović, together with the Representative of Montenegro before the European Court of Human Rights in Strasbourg Katarina Peković and Advisor in the Office of the Representative Simona Jovanović, held working meetings with the Minister of Justice Bojan Božović, the President of the Constitutional Court Snežana Armenko, the President of the Supreme Court Valentina Pavličić, the Supreme State Prosecutor Milorad Marković, the Acting Director of the Police Directorate Lazar Šćepanović and the President of the Board of Directors of the Judicial and State Prosecutor's Office Ljiljana Lakić.
"At a working meeting with the Minister of Justice, the delegation of the Department for the Execution of Judgments of the European Court of Human Rights particularly emphasized the dedication, professionalism and exceptional results of the state of Montenegro in the execution of a group of cases." Dedić and others v. Montenegro (formed upon petitions of former employees of the company 'Radoje Dakić' AD Podgorica – in bankruptcy) and stressed the importance of taking further general measures in order to fully execute the aforementioned group of cases," the statement reads.
In addition to the above, the delegation of the Department for the Execution of Judgments of the ECHR discussed the results achieved and the taking of further individual and general measures at working meetings: with the President of the Constitutional Court on the execution of the judgments "Siništaj v. Montenegro and Bigović v. Montenegro"; with the President of the Supreme Court on the execution of the judgments "Bigović v. Montenegro", "Vlahović v. Montenegro" and "Bagoje v. Montenegro"; with the Supreme State Prosecutor and Acting Director of the Police Administration on the execution of the judgments "Siništaj and Others v. Montenegro" and "Baranin and Vukčević v. Montenegro"; and with the President of the Board of Directors of the Judicial and Public Prosecutor's Training Center on the execution of the judgments "Bigović v. Montenegro", "Dedić and Others v. Montenegro", "Siništaj and Others v. Montenegro" and "Baranin and Vukčević v. Montenegro".
"All participants in the meeting pointed out the importance of effective enforcement of judgments of the European Court of Human Rights, with the aim of ensuring respect for the rights and freedoms guaranteed by the European Convention on Human Rights, at the national level," the statement reads.
