The Ministry of Public Administration has established the GovME CA Certification Authority, which, according to Minister Maraš Dukaj, is an important step forward, considering that the Ministry is becoming a qualified provider of electronic trust services for the needs of state administration bodies for the first time.
"Previously, we were limited only to issuing advanced electronic signatures. Now we have the ability to provide as many as seven different trust services that are key to the digitalization of the public sector," said Dukaj.
The entire process of establishing this system and preparing the accompanying documentation, said Dukaj, was carried out in accordance with European standards and best practices, which clearly demonstrates Montenegro's commitment to its European path.
Now, as he pointed out, we have an infrastructure that, along with the status of a qualified provider, enables complete control and security in the use of electronic services in public administration, which further strengthens the trust of citizens and institutions in the digital services of the Government of Montenegro.
"By establishing GovME CA, we are creating a stable foundation for the further digital transformation of the state, simplifying business processes, accelerating the work of the administration, and bringing Montenegro even closer to European standards," said Dukaj.
