The President of the Municipality of Tivat, Željko Komnenović, met today with representatives of the Association of Utility Companies of Montenegro, mainly directors of utility companies from Podgorica, Ulcinj, Žabljak, Cetinje and Tivat.
"I am glad that cooperation exists between you, since you are connected by a specific activity that is accompanied by numerous problems, financial, administrative, and increasingly personnel-related," emphasized the President of the Tivat Municipality.
He said that the Tivat Municipal Company operates successfully despite challenges, such as the lack of landfills for oversized and construction waste, the distance to the regional landfill, the lack of a recycling yard...
The initiator of the meeting, Deputy Director of the Association, also Director of the Tivat Municipal Enterprise Vučeta Stanišić, emphasized that it is of particular importance to establish a dialogue with the presidents of municipalities and mayors, as decision-makers, in order to improve municipal services and overcome all challenges that exist in this area.
"At the meeting, it was heard that utility companies are 'citizens' companies', and that it is in everyone's interest for them to do business positively. The association cooperates with the Chamber of Commerce of Montenegro and the Union of Municipalities of Montenegro, and a regional conference is also planned that would bring together representatives of utility companies from neighboring countries," the Municipality of Tivat announced.
The meeting was attended by: President of the Assembly of the Association of Municipal Enterprises of Montenegro and President of the Board of the Association of Municipal Economy in the Chamber of Commerce and Industry of Montenegro Radenko Vujošević, Director of the company "Communal Services" Ulcinj Senad Kolari, Director of the company "Komunalno" Cetinje Boško Dragutinović, Director of the Podgorica "Čistoća" Denis Hot, Director of the company "Communal and Water Supply" Žabljak Dragan Papić, Manager of the Municipality of Tivat Ivona Petrović and Secretary for Transport and Housing and Communal Services in the Municipality of Tivat Mirela Jarić.
