Spajić: May you spend Eid in happiness, love and health

Prime Minister Milojko Spajić congratulated citizens of the Islamic faith, both in the country and abroad, on the occasion of Ramadan Bayram.

"Today's holiday carries a message that is relevant in all times and is a signpost of inspiration for preserving peace, tolerance and coexistence. Acquiring new knowledge, the need to learn the truth and be more just and merciful, are the ideals that modern civic Montenegro strives for," Spajić wrote in a message to the head of the Islamic Community, Rifat Fejzić.

"I am certain that with the same enthusiasm we will continue to spread mutual respect, understanding and trust, without which it is not possible to fully achieve the development, reform and European integration goal," Spajić concluded in his congratulatory message.

He previously congratulated the faithful on the holiday via video message.

"We wish all citizens of the Islamic faith a happy Eid from a special place for Muslims - the magnificent Sheikh Zayed Mosque in Abu Dhabi. May you spend Eid in happiness, love and health! Eid sherif mubarek olsun," Spajić wrote on Iks.

He also sent his congratulations to "our friends" from the United Arab Emirates and other Middle Eastern countries.
