The Ministry of Education, Science and Innovation (MESI) and the company Crossmedia Agency have signed a memorandum of cooperation, with the aim of implementing a national campaign to improve mental health called Let's Talk, the MESI announced.
The government department said that the memorandum establishes a framework for cooperation in the field of mental health of children and youth, with a special focus on the prevention of peer and sexual violence, management of emotions, thoughts, and interpersonal relationships.
"Through a digital platform and interactive points in schools, the campaign will provide support to students, teachers and parents in addressing mental health challenges," said the Ministry of Education, Science and Technology.
The ministry, as they stated, supported the campaign by providing money that will be used to set up interactive points in primary and secondary schools, maintain a digital platform, print promotional material, conduct PR activities, and hire experts.
"MPNI will provide additional non-financial support by enabling the placement of tags at school micro-locations," the statement said.
The Memorandum of Cooperation was signed by the State Secretary of the Ministry of National Education and Research, Dragan Marković, and the Executive Director of the Agency, Anđelka Nenezić.
Marković emphasized that the mental health of children and young people is essential for their future and development.
"The campaign will enable schools to become places of support, understanding and preventive action, using modern digital tools and interactive content," Marković emphasized.
The Ministry of Education and Research stated that the "Let's Talk" campaign represents a significant step in raising awareness about mental health and building a support system in educational institutions in Montenegro.
