This year, Ulcinj will mark the Municipality Day, the first Saturday in April, with a ceremonial session of the Municipal Assembly (MA) and a rich cultural and artistic program, which symbolizes the end of the olive harvest, the departure of sailors to their ships and the beginning of the season.
The program to celebrate the Municipality Day begins on Wednesday, April 2nd at the Cultural Center, with the Exhibition "Tradition with the Participation of Young Talents" and a concert by the Music School, at 18 and 19 p.m., respectively.
The Ballet of the Music Center of Montenegro will also be held at the Cultural Center on Thursday, April 3rd at 19 p.m.
A day later, at 11 am in the Municipal Hall, a Scientific Conference "The Role of Technology and Innovation in the Development of Sustainable Tourism" is planned, and in Valdanos at 11,30:XNUMX am, the event "The Youngest for the Hometown - Music, Song and Dance". On the same day, at the newly opened Souvenir Market in the afternoon, a presentation of local handicrafts will be held, a concert with songs for the youngest, choral songs by school students from Ulcinj and songs by Egzon Salaj.
For the central day of the celebration, a ceremonial session of the Municipal Assembly is planned to be held on Saturday at the Cultural Center at 11 am, while the program - the Seafarers' Festival - will begin at 13 pm at the Pier.
The program will include an exhibition of handmade boats and a presentation and tasting of olive products and traditional dishes.
The musical part of the program will feature performances by the groups "Burimi" and "Suad Mehmeti & Ulcinjski Momci".
A Fisherman's Game is also planned, with grilled fish served to visitors.
A volleyball tournament is planned for the end of the event.
