Acting Director of the Police Administration Lazar Šćepanović and Executive Director of Monteput Miljan Ljiljanić visited the Command Center on Pelevo Brijeg, with the aim of strengthening cooperation and improving traffic safety on the highway.
According to the Police Directorate, Šćepanović was introduced to the work of the Command Center, procedures that are implemented in real time, as well as systems that enable efficient traffic management and surveillance.
Special emphasis was placed on cooperation between Monteput and the Mobile Traffic Police Unit, which is present on the highway and directly involved in activities that contribute to the safety of all traffic participants.
Ljiljanić said that the safety of road users is a priority for Monteput, and that such visits and continuous cooperation with institutions enable further improvement of the system that operates on a 24/7 basis, all with the aim of timely response and preventive action.
"Šćepanović emphasized the importance of synergy between state institutions in order to create the safest possible environment for all traffic participants, which is reflected in joint work in the field, exchange of information and continuous communication with Monteputa, thus contributing to a more efficient functioning of the traffic police and improving safety on the highway," the Police Directorate announced.
Šćepanović said that the Police Directorate remains a committed partner to Monteput in the realization of common goals in traffic safety, through coordinated activities, round-the-clock monitoring and supervision, with the aim of preventing and reducing the risk of traffic accidents.
"Monteput and the Police Directorate continue to work together, investing in infrastructure, technical and security systems so that the highway remains a safe and efficient traffic solution for the citizens of Montenegro and visitors," the statement reads.
