The Institute for Textbooks and Teaching Materials, on the occasion of the institution's 30th anniversary, is celebrating Children's Book Month.
The institute is giving schoolchildren a 10 percent discount throughout April on selected editions of children's books from its own publishing production.
"April is a month in which two important dates are celebrated. Back in 1967, 58 years ago, UNESCO decided that April 2nd would be International Children's Book Day. A little later, on April 23rd, World Book Day will be marked with special programs. With this action, the Institute sends a message to the youngest readers from all over Montenegro about the importance of developing a love of reading and writing, because the magic of the literary word can only be experienced if books are read," the statement reads.
