Employees in Montenegrin municipalities involved in the preparation and application of projects for EU funds have successfully completed the first three-day training module for writing projects for EU funds, within the project "Municipalities for the EU - Empowering Local Communities in the European Integration Process of Montenegro".
During the first training module, participants completed a logical framework matrix as a prerequisite for continuing training on filling out application forms for EU funds.
"Over three days, participants, with the support of lecturer Goran Đurović, an expert in capacity building in local governments, analyzed key elements of project preparation - from identifying problems and defining goals, to planning activities and managing the project cycle. Special emphasis was placed on practical exercises and working on concrete project ideas," the statement reads.
The second training module will be held on April 8th and 9th, when participants will continue to improve their knowledge and skills for effective preparation of project proposals.
The project "Municipalities for the EU - Empowering local communities in the European integration process of Montenegro" is funded by the Delegation of the European Union to Montenegro, and is implemented in cooperation with the Ministry of Public Administration and the Union of Municipalities of Montenegro. The aim of the project is to strengthen the capacities of local governments to use EU funds, implement European standards and actively participate in the European integration process.
"Through training, mentoring support and networking, the project helps municipalities become more prepared for planning and implementing EU projects, improving institutional structure and communication about European policies," the statement reads.
