During his two-day visit to Slovenia, the Minister of Diaspora, Mirsad Ademović, met at the premises of the Embassy of Montenegro in Ljubljana with representatives of diaspora associations and organizations operating in this country.

Azemović pointed out that the Government of Montenegro has shown in action that it wants better and stronger cooperation with the diaspora by establishing the Ministry of Diaspora.

"We are aware of your important role in preserving identity, culture and language, but also in the development of economic, cultural and diplomatic ties between Montenegro and Slovenia. The Ministry of Diaspora is your address for all good ideas, projects and all issues aimed at raising cooperation between the mother country and the diaspora to an even higher level. My visit to you represents another step towards building a stronger partnership between the institutions of Montenegro and our diaspora," said Azemović.

As stated in the statement, representatives of the association thanked the minister for his visit and interest, presenting specific proposals for better institutional support, including cultural events, as well as more efficient administrative procedures for cooperation with institutions in Montenegro.

"The meeting at the embassy was also attended by State Secretary of the Ministry of Diaspora Adel Omeragić, Ambassador of Montenegro to Slovenia Dragan Tufekžić, Honorary Consul of Montenegro to Slovenia Vojislav Kovač, and Advisor to the Ministry of Diaspora Mihailo Pavicevic," it added.
