Forte Mare Fortress receives permanent ambient lighting

The symbol of Herceg Novi, the Forte Mare fortress, has received permanent ambient lighting for the first time.

Thanks to the architectural lighting project with decorative and scenic effects, the monumentality and historical value of the ancient fortification will finally be highlighted in the right way, reports the RTHN portal.

As announced by the local administration, the installation has been completed, the lighting has been put into trial operation, and these days the programming and final adjustments of the complete lighting system are underway. The new lighting has been carefully integrated into the ambience of the fortress, while respecting its historical character, which has raised the level of presentation and visual recognition of Herceg Novi's "guardian of the sea". In this way, writes RTHN, the cultural landscape of Herceg Novi has been further improved, through a modern approach to preserving and highlighting cultural heritage.

In parallel with this project, the local government continued to invest in the improvement of the walls of Forte Mare. The second phase of works has begun, removing vegetation, washing and grouting the stone walls.
