The number of available scholarships for students from Montenegro in Turkey will be increased, said the Deputy President of the Directorate for Turks Abroad and Related Communities Murat Kazanci.
Deputy Speaker of the Parliament Mirsad Nurković, as part of his official visit to Turkey, visited Ankara, where, in addition to Kazanci, he also met with the Chairman of the Ankara Chamber of Commerce-ATO, Gursel Baran.
During the meetings with Baran, Nurković presented Montenegro's potential in the field of summer and winter tourism development, as well as "the country's openness to foreign investments, especially in the segments of the arrival of large business chains and strategic investors," the office of the deputy speaker of parliament announced.

"Baran expressed satisfaction with this visit and showed a high level of interest in cooperation, emphasizing that the Ankara Chamber of Commerce brings together more than 170.000 members. He announced that an agenda will be prepared as soon as possible with the aim of organizing a working visit to the Montenegrin market, and offered technical and advisory support to Montenegro in the winter and summer mountain tourism sector, as well as in the energy sector, and that Montenegro is ready to accept strategic investors who would implement projects in these areas," the statement reads.
During the meeting with Kazanci, the focus was on educational programs for students from Montenegro in Turkey, the number of applications, as well as opportunities for further increasing the amount of scholarships, as well as accommodation conditions.
Nurković expressed gratitude to Turkey for decades of support and education of students from Montenegro at prestigious universities.
"Kazanci confirmed that the number of available scholarships will be increased and that there is a firm commitment to continue strengthening cooperation in education. He emphasized that Vice President Nurković's suggestions are valuable guidelines for further improving interstate cooperation in the field of education," the office of the Deputy Speaker of the Parliament announced.
Nurković suggested that both sides work on a larger presentation in secondary schools in Montenegro, so that informative presentations could be organized.
"In conclusion, he emphasized that students are the best bridge connecting both countries and that it is precisely students who can make a full contribution to better understanding between the peoples of Montenegro and Turkey, because the future of both countries lies in achieving the academic results that our students should achieve," the statement reads.
