Developed and complex systems for unauthorized access to data, for industrial and other types of espionage, are a threat that needs to be resisted in an organized and systematic manner, said State Secretary at the Ministry of Defense Marko Marković.

He spoke at the Second International Conference of Montenegrin Security Managers "Security Without Compromise", which is being organized today and tomorrow in Budva by the Association of Security Managers of Montenegro in cooperation with the Association of Corporate Security Managers of South East Europe (SEECSA).

Marković, as announced by the Ministry of Defense, said that the Government has recognized the importance of improving cybersecurity, and that the first Regional Center for Cyber Capabilities in the Balkans (WB3C) was opened in Montenegro last year, with the support of partners from France and Slovenia.

"The opening of such a center has significantly raised Montenegro's reputation in the international environment and will play a key role in preserving our digital environment, protecting our citizens, and fostering a culture of cybersecurity that will benefit generations to come," said Marković.

He added that the Ministry of Defense is constantly investing in networking with partner countries, with the aim of specific education, training and training of cadets and officers at reputable foreign military academies.

Marković said that this practice will continue, which is why young people are encouraged to consider joining the Army of Montenegro, since the key problem they face is the lack of experts.

He emphasized that the Ministry of Defense is actively working on promoting the military profession, and that a new website, budivojnik.me, was recently launched with the aim of better communication with the younger population and their insight into the work of the Ministry of Defense and the Armed Forces of Montenegro.

Marković concluded that every initiative and work to improve collective education is of invaluable importance so that, through well-organized and strengthened IT capacities, we can jointly contribute to a more stable and reliable information society.
