The number of detainees on hunger strike has increased to 174, and the Directorate for the Execution of Criminal Sanctions claims that all those participating in the strike are under constant surveillance, and that their health condition is continuously monitored.
"According to the latest reports from doctors, the current health condition of the detainees is stable. On the occasion of this event, the Director General of the Directorate for Criminal Sanctions and Supervision, Stevan Brajušković, visited the Podgorica Remand Prison today, on behalf of the Ministry of Justice, together with the Director of the Administration for the Execution of Criminal Sanctions. On that occasion, the detainees were allowed to directly, through oral communication, address a representative of the Ministry of Justice, regarding what may be the competence of this ministry. This visit was carried out with the prior approval of the President of the High Court. In relation to the above, the Administration for the Execution of Criminal Sanctions will continue to take all necessary measures to protect the health of the detainees, and in this regard, to maintain order and security in the Administration," the UIKS Public Relations Service announced.
