The reconstruction and adaptation of the premises in the "Shopping Center" building in Seljanovo in Tivat, which is intended for the needs of the "Bambi" kindergarten, is in the final phase, the Ministry of Education, Science and Innovation announced.
The facility was visited by the relevant Minister Anđela Jakšić Stojanović, the President of the Municipality of Tivat Željko Komnenović, the State Secretary of the Ministry of Education and Science Dragana Babović, the director of the kindergarten Jelena Perunović-Samardžić, the President of the Tivat Municipal Assembly Miljan Marković, the Vice President of the Municipality Jovan Brinić, the Manager of the Municipality Ivona Petrović and the Director of the Tivat Directorate for Investments Vlado Brguljan.
The works, worth a total of around 450.000 euros, were carried out on the basis of a Memorandum of Cooperation between the Ministry of Education, Science and Innovation and the Municipality of Tivat, of which the Ministry provided 350.000 euros and the Municipality 100.000 euros. The contractor is the company “AG Infoplan”. In addition, the Municipality of Tivat invested 92.000 euros for the replacement of the roof.
The ground floor of the building, measuring 306 square meters, has been completely reconstructed, renovated and equipped for the needs of the kindergarten.
On the first floor of the building, a 160 square meter space has been adapted and renovated, and the Municipality of Tivat has allocated around 60 thousand euros for these works. Four rooms on this floor will be made available to students from the branch unit of the “Drago Milović” Primary School in Donja Lastva, for which a tender for the construction of a new school building is expected.
Minister Jakšić Stojanović emphasized that she is very pleased that the works on the reconstruction of the kindergarten are nearing completion.
"Cooperation with the Municipality of Tivat in the previous period has been truly extraordinary, so we have implemented all projects related to improving the quality of educational infrastructure with joint efforts, so I am sure that in the coming period we will delight both our youngest, but also all residents of Tivat, with new projects in this area," the minister emphasized.
"The ministry has recognized the needs of the city and together we have embarked on a large investment cycle aimed at better working and educational conditions for our children. Many thanks to Minister Jakšić Stojanović for everything she has done so far. Instead of a neglected, dilapidated building, Seljanovo has received new space for the needs of the school and kindergarten. Ahead of us is the construction of a school in Donja Lastva and other large projects to which we are committed," said Komnenović.
The kindergarten director, Jelena Perunović Samardžić, is, as announced, satisfied with the fact that "the youngest residents of Tivat will soon enjoy the new facility, because the conditions for their stay have been raised to a higher level, which our little ones deserve."
