Chief Special Prosecutor Vladimir Novović was presented with a certificate of appreciation from the Director of the Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI) Keš Patel in recognition of his special personal contribution to strengthening and improving international cooperation between law enforcement agencies of Montenegro and the United States.
The FBI's Certificate of Appreciation was also awarded to Chief State Prosecutor Milorad Marković for his exceptional commitment to global partnership.
"International law enforcement cooperation is essential to the safety and security of our nations. All of us at the FBI are grateful for your continued support. Congratulations on a job well done," the letter of appreciation reads.
The certificate of appreciation, on behalf of the FBI Director, was presented by H.E. the Ambassador of the United States of America to Montenegro, Judy Rising Reinke.
"On that occasion, the ambassador congratulated the Chief Special Prosecutor on the recognition received and the results of his work and the work of the Special State Prosecutor's Office to date, and stressed the importance of mutual cooperation and the joint fight against organized crime and high-level corruption," the SDT statement said.
The Chief Special Prosecutor, as stated in the statement, expressed his gratitude for the award, emphasizing that it is a special honor for him that the most prestigious law enforcement agency in the world, which sets the highest standards of professional performance and institutional efficiency, has recognized the importance of his work and the independent, impartial, professional and decisive actions of the Special State Prosecutor's Office, and thus the Special Police Department, in protecting the public interest and building a state governed by the rule of law.
