Around 200.000 euros from the Ministry of Finance account used by the Ministry of Health will be transferred to the main treasury account in order to purchase equipment for the Bar Hospital and the Emergency Medical Service in the coming period.
At the session, the government tasked the finance department with closing the account used by the Ministry of Health, after redirecting funds to the Health Insurance Fund, given that it is not needed for other purposes.
The Fund is responsible for paying 134.000 euros to the General Hospital "Blažo Orlandić" in Bar for the purchase of additional components necessary to put the magnetic resonance imaging machine into operation, and 65.485 euros to the Emergency Medical Service Institute as a contribution to the purchase of an off-road vehicle.
The Bar Hospital and the Emergency Medical Service are tasked by the Government's decision to promptly inform the Ministries of Health and Finance and the Fund about the implementation of the procurement.
The General Hospital in Bar announced a tender for the procurement of magnetic resonance imaging at the end of 2023. The value of the procurement is around 758,8 thousand euros including VAT, and includes the delivery of equipment, installation, as well as testing and training of staff for its use.
However, last year, a new call for tenders was issued for works on the extension of the radiological diagnostics rooms, i.e. magnetic resonance imaging, along with the reconstruction of the emergency admission block, and that tender is worth around 285.000 euros.
The Emergency Medical Service recently received an ambulance and delivery vehicle from the Fund. As announced, around 62,6 thousand euros were allocated for the purchase of the ambulance, and around 23,6 thousand for the delivery vehicle.
Last year, the Institute, with the support of the Ministry of Health, purchased ten ambulances with complete medical equipment. This investment was financed from the capital budget for 2024, and the value of the purchase was approximately 626,9 thousand euros including VAT.
