The Traffic Administration announced that work has begun on the rehabilitation of the Provalija landslide on the Žabljak - Šavnik main road, with the aim of increasing traffic safety on this section.
The contracted value of the works is 659.998 euros excluding VAT, and the completion deadline is four months.
"The landslide rehabilitation includes, among other things, the construction of a supporting structure on the underside of the road, in order to ensure the necessary stability of the road. Bearing in mind that one of the main reasons for the occurrence of landslides is the high presence of groundwater and the inability to drain from the embankment, a drainage system will be constructed. Also, a new asphalt road will be constructed on this section of the road, as well as traffic signs and crash barriers," the Traffic Administration announced.
The works are being carried out by the company "Intermost", and supervision is being carried out by "Projectman".
