The Secretariat for Culture, Social and Other Issues of the Municipality of Pljevlja donated musical instruments to the Students' Club of the "Tanasije Pejatović" Gymnasium in that city.
The donation from the Municipality of Pljevlja, as stated in the announcement, was presented to the students by the Secretary of the Secretariat for Culture, Social and Other Issues, Sanja Đondović.
The Municipality's gift aims to improve the conditions for quality leisure time for young people, encourage the development of talents, and contribute to the creation of richer cultural content in the city.
"The Municipality of Pljevlja and the Secretariat recognize the importance of investing in young people, because they are the bearers of change and progress in society. Culture grows where we give it space, that music has the power to change the atmosphere of any space, connect and inspire. The Municipality of Pljevlja and the Secretariat will continue to listen to the needs of young people and create conditions for the development of culture in our city," said Đondović.
The director of the Gymnasium, Bojana Grujić, thanked the school for the valuable donation of three musical instruments - acoustic guitars, electric guitars and bass guitars with amplifiers, as well as for all the support provided by the Municipality of Pljevlja so far.
She pointed out that support from the local government is extremely important for every educational institution, emphasizing that the cooperation between the Gymnasium and the Municipality of Pljevlja, that is, the relevant Secretariat, is extremely good.
"Since the beginning of the school year, the Secretariat has provided transportation for our students to the 2024 National Knowledge Competition and to the award ceremony in Nikšić and Podgorica. It supported the departure of our students and teachers to the Regional Conference in Bulgaria, a trip to Herceg Novi for the Mimosa Days, the departure of students to the Petnjica Research Center, and a visit to the Book Fair in Belgrade," the Secretariat for Culture, Social and Other Affairs said in a statement.
