The "Piva Lake Boat Trip" team from Pluzine is the winner of the 16th "Branko Bane Blagojević" Memorial Tournament, organized in Pluzine by Generation '89.
They defeated the team from Nikšić, "KMF Marvel", in the final with a score of 3:1. The winning team also included the best goalkeeper, Mladen Krunić, and the best player and scorer, Luka Glomazić.
Eight teams from Plužine and Nikšić participated in the tournament, while the ninth team withdrew from the competition.
"We would like to thank all the tournament participants for their fair and correct behavior. Thanks to all of you who participated, the memory of Branko Blagojević never fades. Over the past 16 years, we have had great help from our friends and co-organizers from KMF 'Bajo Pivljanin' and the Municipality of Plužine," the tournament organizers announced.
They thanked everyone who helped them to ensure that the tournament, which is an important part of the sporting events in Plužine and which worthily represents the aforementioned municipality, preserves the memory of their early deceased schoolmate. They were also helped by the Plužine Cultural Center, the IGP "Fidija" company, the Electric Power Company of Montenegro, the "Piva" Hydroelectric Power Plant Union, the Municipality of Nikšić...
Blagojević, who died suddenly at the age of 20, was a student of the Plužine elementary school generation and the first two grades of the Gymnasium. He was a participant in numerous national and federal competitions where he achieved exceptional results.
In Italy, he completed the third and fourth grade of high school, and was also an outstanding student of construction and architecture at Bucknell University in America.
In December 2009, the Assembly of the Municipality of Plužine passed a decision on the awarding of a prize for a student of the generation of elementary school and high school in that city, and the funds for the monetary amount are provided from the municipal budget.
