The panel discussion, which was dedicated to the development, challenges and future prospects of the Nature Park (NP) "Piva", marked ten years since the proclamation of the Park.
The panel discussion was held at the Memorial House in Crkvičko Polje, and speakers included: Ivan Doderović, Director of the Nature Park "Piva", Slobodan Delić, President of the Municipality of Plužine and the first Director of the Park, Mijuško Bajagić, former President of the Municipality, Blažo Jokanović, member of the Park's Advisory Body, Zlatko Bulić, former Director of the Institute for Nature Protection and Head of the Study on the Protection of the Regional Park "Piva", Zoran Mrdak, Director of the Network of Protected Areas of the Dinarides - Dinarides Parks and Aleksandar Perović, Director of the Ecological Movement "Ozon" and former member of the Advisory Body.
"Special thanks are extended to all employees and associates, current and former, who, through dedicated work and enthusiasm, contributed to making the Park concept a reality and without whom today's results of ten years of work would not have been possible. We owe great gratitude to our colleague Miljan Grubač, who, despite health challenges, attended the celebration of this important anniversary. With respect and remembrance, all deceased team members who have woven themselves into the foundations of this organization are also mentioned," the Park stated.

They said that the "Piva" Nature Park, as it was ten years ago, remains committed to the protection of nature and the development of tourism, serving as a model of sustainable development, with a vision that remains clear: to preserve natural values and improve the quality of life of the local community.
On Earth Day, April 22, 2015, the Piva Nature Park was established by a decision of the Plužine Municipal Assembly, which began operating on January 1, 2016. From then until the end of last year, 259.097 visits to the Piva Nature Park were recorded, based on the number of tickets sold to enter the protected area, as well as 67.032 overnight stays in the territory of the Plužine municipality. The figures, as previously told "Vijesti" from the Park, are not relevant because, considering that the Piva Nature Park covers a huge area, almost 32,5 hectares, a certain number of visitors remain unrecorded, while local service providers, with positive exceptions, do not register guests. The Park believes that only last year can be considered representative, when there were almost 17 thousand overnight stays, and Piva was visited by more than ten thousand tourists from 79 countries around the world.
