Two applications for the position of director have been received at the address of the Agency for the Prevention of Corruption, and these are the current acting director Dušan Drakić and this summer's candidate for the Council of that institution, Milica Milutinović, "Vijesti" has learned.
The competition ended at the beginning of the week, and according to unofficial information, the Agency Council will wait a few more days in case potential candidates sent their documentation by mail.
The competition for the selection of the Agency's director was announced on the last day of March, with a legal deadline of 20 days for application.
According to the requirements, candidates must, among other things, have at least three opinions on professional and work qualities.
In addition to the general requirements for working in state bodies, candidates must have ten years of work experience, of which at least five were in the field of fighting corruption or protecting human rights.
"Candidates must have at least three opinions on their professional and work qualities from a company, other legal entity or entrepreneur for whom they work or have worked, or with whom they have established business cooperation," the competition states.
It is stated that a person who has held or is holding the positions of MP or councilor, member of the Government in the last ten years cannot be elected as the director of ASK...
"Nor a person who is in a political entity (party president, member of the presidency, their deputies, member of the executive and main board and other official in a political party in accordance with the party statute). If in a coalition, in terms of the law regulating the financing of political entities and election campaigns. A person who has been finally convicted of criminal offenses in the field of corruption and who has not passed an integrity check in accordance with the Law on the Prevention of Corruption cannot be elected as the director of the Agency. Nor can a person who has been appointed or appointed by the Government or the Parliament as a public official in the last five years," the competition states.
The Director of the Agency is elected for a period of five years and may be elected a maximum of two times.
According to the competition, the candidate for director is required to submit a written and reasoned proposal for the Agency's work program and key priorities, along with the application and required documentation.
"The Council will conduct the interview with the candidates, in the presence of all members. Untimely and incomplete applications will not be considered," the competition stated.
